COFFEE “REDUCES THE RISK OF DEATH”?????
Don’t get me wrong, I love my coffee. In fact, some would call me a coffee snob and I would agree. I love a good rich dark roast, preferably organic, shade-grown, fair trade coffee. But when I read this latest “study” on coffee I had to chuckle, especially at this paragraph: “Among women, drinking two to three cups of coffee a day was associated with an 18 percent reduction in death from all causes, while drinking four to five cups was associated with a 26 percent reduction in risk.” [emphasis added].
Ok – news flash to these authors: We’re all gonna die. It’s IMPOSSIBLE that several cups of coffee a day will allow us to achieve immortality. [As if we’d want to live forever]
